Watersport's

“To reach a port, we first must sail” - Franklin D. Roosevelt

It is said that the earliest representation of a sail is from ancient Egypt, this is dated back to circa 3100 BCE.

The watersports industry has become more and more popular over the years and is said  to have grown dramatically since the Covid pandemic. Just off the centre of the Ionian Sea, on an island called Lefkada, commonly referred to as the Emerald of the Ionian Sea, the jewelled like turquoise waters and reliable winds have brought generations of sailors and windsurfers to its beaches. I have been fortunate enough to photograph these remarkable sports on Lefkada and I will continue to do so in order to carry on capturing the sheer talent and passion that these sportsmen and women demonstrate each and every summer season.
